CONCEPT - CIRCULATION - The spinal cord of architecture. Its important to consider circulation both vertical and horizontal of prime importance. The project makes an attempt to change the concept of mall and shopping complex ie; difference between courtyard and atriums. This project combines the essence of courtyard and atriums.
STYLE - CONTEMPORARY DECONSTRUCTIVISM.
Being a commercial project,attempt is made to make maximum use of site. The bigger space ie; solid block mass of shopping mall and allied activities dominates the site and is the first mass that viewer encounters. The hotel apartment is placed at backside with a thought of providing maximum privacy.
According to user requirement of parking, ample amount of parking space is provided at basement. making optimum use of technology, multi-level parking was planned with optimum space utilisation and easy operation.
The concept of solid void proportion is chiefly considered. The solid blocks are placed with alternate open courtyards.
Deconstructivism is the style of design which can be seen in the form of the massy solid block. None of the walls are vertically straight.
Along with deconstructive form of design,the floors of mall change its shape, so that there is no cavity form between abrstact walls and floors.
The form can be better understood through sections. Care is taken that there is no wall forming an extreme acute angle with the floor.
